1. SPONSORSHIP : As 75 % of the children who attend the school hail from very poor socio-economic backgrounds, the school tries to arrange for sponsorship for such children.

Sponsor a child for a month : Rs 500 /-
Sponsor for a year : Rs 6000/-

2. THERAPUTIC ASSISTANCE : Most Mentally disabled children either suffer from other related physical disabilities or speech problems. The school aims at providing physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy to help such children with their disability. Since such therapy is expensive and unaffordable to the poor, donors could contribute either towards equipment as indicated in the enclosed sheets or towards payment of charges for the therapist. Equipment is a one time contribution but the duration of the therapy charges is from a case to case basis. Each therapy session cost Rs 250 /-. Sponsoring therapy session for a child for a month (10 sessions) : Rs 250 * 10 = Rs 2000 /-

3. VOCATIONAL TRAINING : Please note that Carpentry, Cooking & Gardening are vocational training courses we would like to start for the first time in Pondicherry for disabled youth in the age of 18 to 30 years. After this course they will be able to get employment or do their own business and earn an income.


1. Carpentry course for 10 children for 1 year Rs 50,000
2. Cooking course for 20 children for 1 year Rs 50,000
3. Gardening course for 10 children for 1 year Rs 50,000


4. NUTRITIONAL ASSISTANCE : Since most of the child belong to very low income groups, there suffer from poor health due to lack of proper nourishment. We would like to provide supplementary nutritional foods like soups, salads, fruits etc. This would be in addition to the regular meals that the child is already habituated.


Cost of nutritional supplement per day for 50 children : Rs 500 /-


5. MEDICINE BANK FOR EPILEPSY

Epilepsy is one of the most common secondary disabilities in people with mental retardation. Since most of the children are from the lower sections of society and are unable to afford the medicines needed for controlling their epileptic condition, we need medicines to supply to these children on a monthly basis. We would ilke to open this for all epileptic children in Pondicherry. This would be a first of its kind project in India. List given below or you can also sponsor :
