Our Beginning

• Started in 2003
• A day care for children with special needs - Autism, Down's syndrome, Mental Retardation, Learning difficulties and multiple disabilities
• Cater to families with no financial capabilities for providing for the special needs of these children
• believes in catering to the individual needs of the child

Satya special school is a non-for-profit organization aiming to help children in Pondicherry, South India cope with mental and physical disabilities. The school was started in June 2003 with 20 special children with disabilities like- Autism, downs syndrome, mental retardation, learning difficulties, cerebral palsy and others. Today the school is growing rapidly with 80 children who enjoy their time away from the hardships of social stigma in India. They are provided care from volunteer teachers and physicians through year round schooling.
