Students from Satya Special School participated and won prizes in the Spixels Photography contest for children with special needs.

The organization has been running the contest for several years, with Satya students participating. The theme for this year’s contest was “Back to Village: Culture and Lifestyle.” Ten students from Satya Special School’s Seliamedu and Muttrampattu centres participated.

With more than 180 entries by special children, it was a flood of talent and expression. Our own Jeyapriya's entry of a typical village scene captivated the judges. She feels modernization had its own advantages, but Jeyapriya wants to portray her community is still able to retain a typical village lifestyle.

Her photo, as that of other winners, was signed by ace director and cinematographer Padma Shri Santhosh Sivan.
