AKKARAI means care and compassion in Tamil. Founded on those very principles Akkarai Foundation aims to globally create, find, and support programs that focus on empowering and enhancing the well-being of disabled or otherwise disadvantaged families and children through financial, social, and other cultural support in addition to specific health, education and technology needs to increase their overall well-being. Akkarai Foundation is a registered, IRS approved 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization.

About the Founder

Paul Sundar Singh is a data security executive by profession, and he provides data security services through his business, enDarity. Paul is a Certified Information Systems & Security (CISSP) professional. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Management, Master’s degree specialized in Personnel Management from University of Madras, India and another Master’s degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University System, USA. From childhood Paul has contributed to social cause and he has shown compassion and care to orphan children.

He started a program to help rag pickers in India become educated, he also volunteered his time with a community action network group to help with the WHO sponsored AIDS prevention project. Paul has also published a paper on drug abuse along with two papers, on artificial intelligence and a thesis on organizational behavior and human psychology at work. Paul is also an FCC licensed Amateur Radio operator. Paul lives in Texas, USA with his wife and two daughters.

The Akkarai Foundation and Satya Special School collaboration

Being a likeminded organization Satya Special School has partnered with Akkarai Foundation to be its face and counterpart in the United States. Together they work towards partnerships for knowledge sharing, technical partnerships and funding.
